Description of the Workshop:
This workshop will equip participants with the tools to design and implement more inclusive recruitment and retention practices in academic and professional settings. Through interactive discussions and resource sharing, attendees will explore systemic barriers that hinder diversity and learn actionable strategies to create more equitable pipelines. This intermediate-level session fosters a deeper understanding of diversity challenges while guiding participants in developing a draft action plan tailored to their specific field.

Presenter Bios:
Kaveena Bullock-Miller, M.A., is an experienced educator focusing on Raciolinguistics, Artificial Intelligence, curriculum development, and higher education. Kaveena is deeply committed to bridging the gap between PreK-12 and higher education with her initiative Coffee & Curriculum©️, which collaborates and emphasizes the importance of educational success. She is currently working on her Ed.D., studying Curriculum and Instruction. Her research topic is Decolonizing AI in Writing Pedagogy: A Raciolinguistic Approach to Equity in Higher Education. As a world traveler and creative thinker, she uses her international experiences to enhance others’ knowledge of different cultures, languages, and perspectives. She is an adjunct professor and Education Retention Specialist at Union County College.
