Description of the Workshop:
In this interactive workshop, attendees will explore their current expectations about their professional journey and learn how to let go of artificial expectations that no longer serve them. With this new awareness and insight, attendees will be empowered to identify what is most important for them to have meaningful and fulfilling experiences in their careers using an engaging exercise to discover their career values. Attendees will then gain the clarity they need to design an authentic path toward a meaningful and fulfilling career they are passionate about. Building on this transformative experience, attendees will identify the creative action they will take to begin the next steps of their professional journey aligned with their values. Attendees will also receive the support and resources they need to take consistent action toward their professional goals.

Presenter Bios:
Dr. Johanna Andrews Adlam is the Founder and CEO of Premexcellence®️, a coaching and consulting company committed to designing what excellence looks like for professionals in their careers and lives, students in higher education, and organizations and institutions working in public health research or programs. She began her entrepreneurial journey in 2021, providing career and life coaching services as well as academic and public health consulting services to students and professionals at Premexcellence®️. Dr. Johanna has over fourteen years of experience conducting interdisciplinary research studies and leading diverse research teams at the academic and health system levels. She is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) from the Co-Active Training Institute and an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) from the International Coaching Federation. Dr. Johanna received her Ph.D. in Public Health with a concentration in Social and Behavioral Health from the School of Public Health at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). She also completed her postdoctoral training in the Center for Health Disparities Research at UNLV.
