Description of the Workshop:

Ideal for students or career professionals who need guidance on writing their resume, a 5-part series is offered. Activities including examples, practice, and writing for the following topics are offered: objective, education, honors & awards, research experience, teaching experience, publications, patents, presentations & invited lectures, professional training, professional affiliations, professional service, community service, languages, computer skills, and references. The required materials are an internet-enabled device with audio and video capabilities, an email address, and access to Microsoft Word. 

Intended Audience:

Undergraduate students, Graduate students, Professional students, Faculty, Industry Professionals and Others

Intended Experience Level:

Beginner and Intermediate 

Presenter Bios:

Monique D. Burey-Ballard [/moe-neek/ /bew-ree/ /bahl-lerd/] is a business administration and management strategist who specializes in EdTech and educational entertainment. Additionally, she possesses technical expertise in quantitative and qualitative analysis – including modeling, design, implementation, assessment, and evaluation – which can be used to support strategies related to management, marketing, and communication.


Ms. Burey-Ballard is also a principal investigator, program creator of SMEC-Studio(R) [/smeck-stu-dee-oh/], and director of initiatives that serve adults and students in grades P-20. Her most recent work as a project coordinator and professional learning manager allows her to contribute to knowledge management and succession planning aspects.


In her own words, Monique is "a servant and transformational leader who uses the tools of Human Resources Management, Training and Development, and Organizational Change to nurture innovation." When asked about her objective, she believes that her role in life is to directly impact human performance improvement.
