Description of the Workshop:

Although research suggests that discussing race in the classroom can be beneficial and also acknowledges the intersectionality of race, society, and law, recent legislative changes throughout the country are successfully whitewashing history and attempting to prevent scholars from comprehensively examining various topics in their discipline. Ambiguity, disappointment, and recurring attacks on academic freedom have left many faculty members overwhelmed, confused, and angry. Join us for an informative and interactive workshop as we discuss these issues and provide best practices for maximizing your efforts in the classroom.

Professional students, Faculty
