Short Description of the Workshop:
In this workshop, Tony and Nicole Davis will expose participants to a wealth of opportunities outside of academia and share five action steps to strategically secure career tracks that are both satisfying and challenging. Tony and Nicole will share experiences from their backgrounds in corporate, non-profit, and government work in an interactive blend of storytelling and Q&A.
Nicole Davis, Ph.D., has 20 years of experience in the field of alternative dispute resolution. Nicole's doctorate from Nova Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, is in the field of Conflict Analysis and Resolution. She holds a master's degree in International Management from the University of Maryland, and a bachelor's degree in Social Work from Morgan State University. Nicole's background includes work with state and federal agencies, non-profit organizations, church congregations, circuit courts, law enforcement, and educational systems at the secondary and collegiate levels.
Tony Davis has over 20 years of experience in recruitment management and human resources. He obtained his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Baltimore. He also obtained a bachelor's degree in Management Studies from the University of Maryland. Tony has worked for leading regional and multi-national companies in talent acquisition and contracts management, where he has developed plans for strategic planning and workforce evaluation, reengineered outsourcing departments and negotiated multi-million-dollar consulting and technology agreements. He is currently working for a Fortune 100 company in Talent Acquisition.
