Short Description of the Workshop:

In this workshop, Dr. Mel speaks to us about the importance of securing healthy, affirming relationships with fellow women throughout one's career that are critical for growth in academic and industry settings. She shares how she began teaching in higher education at 25 while pursuing her PhD full-time and the later challenges of being faculty, launching a nonprofit, pursuing chaplaincy, and a second doctorate as a bi-vocational spiritual leader and how a supportive community of associates, mentors, and friends provides necessary guidance and complements pursuing purpose.
