Postdoctoral Researcher - Macromolecular Neutron

    The Schneider Group in the Louisiana State University Department of Chemistry is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher. The primary job duties are to synthesize, prepare samples, conduct experiments and reach analysis in ionic polymerization using high vacuum chemistry, dielectric spectroscopy and fast field cycling relaxation, small-angle neutron scattering and quasi-elastic neutron scattering. 

    Minimum qualifications: Ph.D. in chemistry or related field; expertise in ionic polymerization using high vacuum chemistry, dielectric spectroscopy and fast field cycling relaxation, and small-angle neutron scattering and quasi-elastic neutron scattering. 

    Preferred qualifications: Proven track record including work evidenced by a PhD in chemistry.

    Special or Physical qualifications: Ability and willingness to access federal laboratories. Ability to travel frequently to Europe, Australia and Asia.

    Initial hire will be for 1 year with the possibility of extension.
