The Department of Mathematics at the State University of New York at New Paltz invites applications for a 3-year renewable lecturer position beginning in Fall 2020.
The successful applicant will be expected to teach 30 credit hours of coursework, or the equivalent, during the academic year. A slightly reduced teaching load in return for service responsibilities may be possible.
Applicants should have an undergraduate degree in mathematics or equivalent, and a master’s or doctorate in mathematics, mathematics education, or a related field. Applicants must show significant evidence of outstanding teaching ability, and be able to teach courses up to and including Calculus 1.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience with non-lecture based teaching methods. We especially encourage applications from individuals who can bring diverse cultural and ethnic perspectives and experiences to the campus and who can connect with all members of our diverse student body.
